Good morning/afternoon/evening! (Hah. I think I'm just going to say "good day" from now on =P)
Yesterday was kind of crazy. We had rehearsal at 3:30. We didn't get home til after 7. It was a long rehearsal.
They didn't ACtually start until later because 3 of the girls had graduation last night and couldn't stay for the whole thing. So they went over their dances first. And we went over our dances because one of the girls in our class was graduating. SO. Yeah. But it went well. I didn't mess up too badly. There was a little bit of "what do I do next??? I DON'T REMEMBER THIS DANCE!" but it didn't last for too long.
Then we came home and ate dinner and I veged out. Hannah and I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube... the 'rents went on a walk... we watched Glee. Then I went to bed... kind of. I read a little bit :)
Hannah and I are going over to Z&D's house to help their mom out for a while this morning. (I love those baby girls! They're adorable! And those big boys too. I wouldn't quite describe them as "adorable," but they sure are cute :)
After we help there, we're going over to another friend's house to help clean because they have a graduation party coming up on Saturday!
So it should be an eventful day! Actually, I might not finish this post until we get back. Huh. We do have to leave soonish... and I do have to get ready... and there is a lot of Romans to go over today. Did you know that we're almost done with Romans?
Well. I guess I'll hop to it and see how much I can get done before we leave :)
Hah. I did NOT get this all done before we left. It's about 11 pm.
Today went well! It was fun to help out Angie with the kiddos. The girls are so sweet& the boys are CRAZY. But they all balance out! I held Em almost the entire time. She's so cute! I have a couple pictures of Hailey that I want to put up :)
Cleaning went well too! Just in case you were wondering. (And Katie, I know you were wondering and were dying to hear all about it =P)
No Day 32 post @ 100 Days of Holiness. :(
I guess it's NIPTO then sleep. And hopefully sleeping in in the morning!
Romans 15:14-22
14I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
Paul's telling us that we're able to teach each other. That we're competent. I guess I am able to teach others... I mean, I help with the teen bible study at Urban Vision... That's teaching. And it's exciting to see when someone grasps a concept they've never gotten before!
15I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me 16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
I think this is almost a disclaimer. Kind of like "I was kinda strong on some points, but that's because the Holy Spirit told me." Or something like that. Either that or it's just by grace. There's a great word in the last sentence. Do you know what it is? Sanctified. The Greek word (because Imma freak and love Blue Letter Bible) for sanctified is hagiazō. In Greek, it looks like so: ἁγιάζω . Pretty, isn't it? Yeah. Just thought I'd point that out. Because it's a word I like.
17Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. 18I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done— 19by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
In the NASB verse 17 talks more about boasting in the things of God. Kind of self explanatory.
It's interesting. In this letter to this church in Rome, Paul won't write anything except what God has accomplished through him. huh.
Don't you think our lives should be more like that? To be hesitant to talk about anything except what God has accomplished through us? We're so consumed with what we've accomplished that we sometimes lose sight of what God has accomplished and what he wants to accomplish.
20It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation. 21Rather, as it is written:
"Those who were not told about him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand." 22This is why I have often been hindered from coming to you.
He wants "fresh blood" so to speak. He wants a clean slate that no one has written on yet. No preconceived notions. So Paul went to the places that had never heard the gospel. When there's a clean slate, there's a lot of room for making an impression.
Because of this desire to take the gospel to places that had never heard it, Paul wasn't able to visit Rome very often. They had a well established church (I'm assuming) and they didn't need his help. Except maybe a kick in the rear end via letter ;)
Mmmmmmmmkay. I'm going to go to sleep now. My sister is probably going to wake up and read this =P
Crazy +6 hour time difference. Good night/morning!

Yeah, I definitely woke up and read this! Good call. That's not even 100% normal, so really good call.
ps: I think you should just say "Good _____<=whatever time it is when you're writing it for you." I mean, you would do that even if your readers were all in the same time zone, and there's no guarantee that the time that I read it wouldn't be the time that you write it. So I see no reason for not just doing it according to yourself. :)
