Five Minute Friday - On Forgetting

Every Friday I try to take five minutes out of my day/evening and write. For five minutes flat. And then I link up over at The Gypsy Mama with all the other "Five-Minute-Friday-ers"

This week's topic is On Forgetting.

GO.
Forgetting is so easy to do. Remembering is the hard thing. I can forget what I did yesterday, and I frequently do. But why is it so easy to forget the important things that happen? The things that God has done for me? How he has changed me. Why is it so easy to forget?
Those are the things that should be remembered. Those are the life changing, forever impacting moments. Those should be remembered.
Just today I was talking to my Mom about LT (Leadership Training) this summer. We talk so much about logistics that it's easy to forget to think about and anticipate what GOD is going to do for a week. It has nothing to do with me. I need to remember to anticipate what God will do in my life and in the lives of those around me; what he will do in the lives of the people that he so dearly loves and gave his only son for.

Why is it easy to forget that I am in this world to share Him with others? At work especially. It's so easy to get caught up in... working. I forget to make sure that I'm serving cheerfully and have a positive attitude and am not being rude or snarky. I feel like I still need to apologize to one of the managers for the tone of voice that I used at one point tonight. She probably doesn't remember, but I do. She probably didn't even notice. Should I forget? What are the things you should forget? Is it okay to forget things like that? I guess I'll ask God and if she's working tomorrow maybe I'll say something. But she probably forgot.

Why is it easy to forget? When is it okay to forget? Those are my questions.
STOP.

Whew. That was a great topic!

I'm going to go to bed now. Goodnight!

I'm linking up right here!

I tend to forget because sharing is not at the forefront of my mind. I read your About stuff...and I wonder since you like photography so much and you go nowhere without your camera...do you forget your SD cards? I forget them in my laptop all of the time!!!
