Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

We have had quite the eventful Father's day today.

I had to do music this morning at church. So we were all up early-ish.
Mom was getting ready and she heard this scraping on metal sound. She wasnt' sure where it was comign from. She was looking outside and all around and eventually asked Dad if he had heard anything.

Turns out, there's something in our chimney. We're still not sure what it is. We can just hear it.

We ended up going to church and leaving it till after we got home. Because I didn't want to be late. But now you're getting what's happening as it happens on my blog. HEH.

I'm going to try to get it on video.

It's still there. It's like, an hour later. We've tried a few things. The flue is now open. We're just waiting. And watching World Cup soccer! YES! Brazil vs Ivory Coast. Good game... if you're from Brazil/supporting Brazil.

Okay. It's about 8:30 now. And the bird is freeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

We let the bird... get into a dreamy state. Then Dad got the bag underneath it and the bird came out... not into the bag. Soooo then we had the dilemma of having the bird in the fireplace kind of inbetween the "cage" (netting) and the glass doors. So the bird was there for a while.
Eventually Dad reached in with a gloved hand and kind of grabbed the bird and took him outside and set him freeeeee.
There will be a series of videos on YouTube soon! Once they're all up, I'll link them here :)

Here's the first video! The rest should be up within the next couple days...

I hope you had a fantastic, much-less-bird-filled father's day!
