NIPTO, Day 183

Whew!
Today was... walking with the girls of the family... watching dancing on YouTube/Hulu... just chillaxing... playing piano with Katie... reading... eating lunch and watching Matilda... reading some more and actually finishing a book... painting my nails... reading a whole 'nother book... ate dinner... talked with the fam... ate brownies and ice cream... opened presents from Katie... and now this.

From Katie I got a pretty blue butterfly necklace, a pair of blue, green, yellow, orange, and red butterfly earrings, and a blue ring with a ladybug on it. (Notice any patterns here? Consistences...? Blue, maybe? Yeah. Favorite color :)

We didn't do a whole lot today. Mostly just hung around the house. Mom and Kate went to the grocery store... Hannah painted... I read a book. Or two.
That's about it! =)

NIPTO, I guess.

Acts 13:26-31
26"Brothers, children of Abraham, and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.

He (... Peter? Too lazy to check.) addresses everyone. Brothers, children of Abraham, Gentiles. It's to everyone that the message of salvation has been given. Sent

27The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath. 28Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed.

The Jews didn't really know who Jesus was or recognize him as the Son of God, but by putting him down and condemning him, they fulfilled the prophecies that had been made about him hundreds of years before. Prophecies that are read every Sabbath
They didn't have any kind of "proof" that they could use to kill him, they still had him killed.

29When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. 30But God raised him from the dead, 31and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people.

They made everything that was written about him come true. It's pretty crazy. They killed him, God raised him from the dead. And people saw him for many days after he was raised from the dead and he traveled with people. The people he traveled with and talked to were the witnesses right then. It was pretty crazy.

Whew.

Sooooo just now we were talking about how the family Katie stayed with in Cologne, Germany watched Aladdin without the sound and quoted it one night (not while they were there). And Katie said that one of the boys was really good at the Genie's part, and that made me think of how much I LOVE Robin Williams as the Genie, and so now I'm giving you here, on my blog, "Friend Like Me"! Enjoy :)
