NIPTO, Day 185

Wow.
So You Think You Can Dance is amazing. Kent Boyd is amazing. Can I please marry him???
Yeah... Amazing. That's about all I can say right now.
(And they're crazy. And I feel like it would be super fun to hang out with them. They seem like a lot of fun!)

Alright. Today... I got up and mowed. And showered. And then went over to Angie's so Mom&Angie&Alycia could talk without being interrupted by kids.
We came home... ate lunch and finished Matilda... I read Emma some... painted my nails... watched tv online... ate dinner... helped clean up... chatted with Caleb for a bit... proved that Katie was home... went back over to Angie's because I left my cellphone there... came home and watched the Jeopardy Teen Tournament... watched So You Think You Can Dance... annd now this. (or dancing around with my sister to (If You Want It) by Relient K... :)

I'm still pretty stunned by So You Think You Can Dance. It makes me want to DANCE! I can't wait till dance starts again! =D Only a few weeks, if I think about it! Probably like, 3 weeks? AWESOME!

Okay. NIPTO.

Acts 13:42-52

42As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath. 43When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

Paul&Barnabas were leaving the synagogue and the people wanted them to come back and speak again the next Saturday. So when everyone was dismissed from church, a bunch of people who were devout Jews/converts to Judaism started following Paul&Barnabas. P&B talked to them and encouraged them to stay in the grace of God.

44On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and talked abusively against what Paul was saying.
So the next Saturday/Sabbath almost the entire city came to hear them talk. (Well, to hear the word of God. Spoken through Paul&Barnabas.)
And when the Jews saw all of the people that had turned out to hear this, they got jealous. And they verbally abused what Paul was saying... So Paul has to address it:

46Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: "We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. 47For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
" 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

So they told them straight up: We told you this first... then you rejected it because you apparently don't consider yourselves worthy of eternal life.... so we're talking to the Gentiles now too. Isaiah said it! In Isaiah 49:6. Boo to the YAH!

48When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
The Gentiles heard and were honored that they were deemed worthy to hear the word of God.
This is interesting "all who were appointed for eternal life believed." I'm not sure exactly what that implies/means... but yeah. It's interesting. Something to think about. (Predestination?)

49The word of the Lord spread through the whole region. 50But the Jews incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.

God spread like wildfire. But some people did not like that. So the Jews made God-fearing women who were important and leading men of the city angry. They told them something that made them persecute Paul&Barnabas to the extent that they were expelled from the region. Crazy. But something happened when people did that to the disciples:

51So they shook the dust from their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium. 52And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

They shook the dust from their feet in protest against them, and went on their merry way. And by shaking of that persecution (I'm guessing?) They were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. Wonderful! :) (I also like that it doesn't bother them for long. Sure, it might've bothered them for a while, but they shake the dust of their feet and go on with life.)

That's all for me tonight! Tomorrow is an "intense yoga" and then coffee&Oreo's day =D I'm looking forward to it. And now I need to SLEEEEEEP. Cuz I'm tired. ;)

Here's a music video. My sister (Katie) was listening to this tonight and I really liked the song...
T
he only problem is that the guy in it is ugly. But Hannah said he's allowed to be ugly. "Real life people usually are ugly." -Hannah Y. (I love that girl.)

(The video isn't working at the moment, but the song is Swing Life Away by Rise Against. It's a great song!)

And with that, goodnight!
